Free Christ-Centered Christmas Music!

Christmas Cover Photo by Mormon Channel Facebook
Once December rolls around, Christmas (or "holiday") music is everywhere. My husband found a radio station that plays Christmas music all day, every day right through Christmas and we have just left it playing in the car. The kids have actually come to recognize certain songs and my oldest made up one of his own: "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Hallelujah!" So adorable.

I have to say that there are a lot of pretty sad renditions of classic songs and many "new" Christmas songs by current musicians are just lame. I prefer the classics performed by Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet and any traditional song performed respectfully by a solo artist or choir. Any here love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir? 'Cause I do. The music is beautiful and calming, something I need almost everyday. I own several CD's and have actually taken time to download their performances from General Conference and from the Christmas Devotionals. They are free, too! Whoot!

While listening to said music today, I thought of you! I imagine that you feel the same about Christmas music as I and Christmas music really helps one get into the Spirit of Christmas.

This Free Christ-Centered Christmas Music is brought to you by: LDS.org, Mormon.org/Christmas and The Mormon Channel

For LDS.org, follow the link and find the download buttons on the side next to the song you wants. For LDS.org, you can choose video versions or the the MP3. They can be transferred to iTunes or Windows Media Player.

For Mormon.org, scroll down till you see the Christmas Music list and download which file you want. The Mormon.org files are in ZIP and I have issues with those but you can download them to your computer or listen to them from the player.

Finally, the Mormon Channel offers a lovely (seriously, lovely) rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful" by Brooke White. It's great to sing out loud to. =)

While looking for Joy School Christmas activities, I discovered two more places to download music from for Christmas. The first is music from, "The Savior of the World", a musical depicting events in the Saviors life from his Birth to his resurrection. You can download the entire musical or just select songs HERE.

The second is from the LDS.org Musical Library under Christmas. All can be downloaded but only some can listened to on the player while others may be music that you can download and play on your own.

Once you have your lovely music, please share so your friends and family may enjoy and get into the Spirit of Christ-mas too.

Where do you turn to for your Christ-centered Christmas music?

God bless you all!
