My husband and I agree on many topics: politics, religion, whether or not our boys will wear jeans when they grow up (the answer is no) and 95/100 times we will agree on food. But he and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to Fruit Dip. My husband believes that fruit dip is not fruit dip unless it is doused with sugar with chunks of candy. I agree ONLY if it were a party dip and not something you eat everyday. I think (I know!) every Momma out there can agree that is not something you want your kids eating every day.
I created this dip for my kids to have any time they want. A simple and versitile fruit dip for my little ones to dip apples, strawberries, bananas, any kind of fruit they want. This dip has ony 3 ingredients: natural peanut butter, greek yogurt and a sweetner like honey or jam/jelly (the kind without high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup). Not a fan of peanut butter? Change it up with your favorite nut butter like almond. I like to combine the peanut and almond butter. It's delicious.
The recipe below makes about 1/2c fruit dip. There is no perfect ratio for peanut butter to greek yogurt or what have you. Just taste the dip as you go and tweek as needed.
And if you use Honey instead of Preserves/Jam/Jelly, feel free to call it PB & H Fruit Dip. =)
PB & J Fruit Dip
yeilds about 1/2c dip
1/4 Natural Peant Butter or other Nut Butter like Almond
1/4 Greek Yogurt
2 TBS Honey or Fruit Preserves/Jam/Jelly
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and serve with your choice of fruit like apples, bananas etc.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

I bet my kids would love this! They love peanut butter but it is just too hard to dip on their own with their little fingers.
